A Tribute to Christaline

Image
A TRIBUTE TO CHRISTALINE  Christaline who is fondly known as Chrissy is the eldest sister of the author.  The author remembers the good times with Christaline and keeps her alive in her heart forever.  She was not only a sister but also a good friend who gave the author guidance and a listening ear to what she had to say.  This poem was written as a tribute to Christaline on her one month anniversary to her heavenly abode.   A Month Without You" One month has passed, yet tears remain, For the sister who brought joy and love's sweet refrain. Your smile, a ray of sunshine bright, Now shines in memories, a bittersweet light. In dreams, I see your face so dear, And wake with longing, and a heart full of tears. The ache of your absence, a hollowed space, Echoes with whispers of our laughter, our secret place. Though you're no longer here, your love remains, A bond between us, an eternal, unbroken chain. In the sil...

In Loving Memory Of KOVU

Image
This is a memorable, sad tribute to the author's ever loving pet and family member, KOVU. Kovu was the very heart beat of the author, that kept the author on her feet, active and happy until the last day of Kovu's earthly life. Kovu was not just a pet, he was the closest family member of the D'Penha family.  He not only brought happiness to his family but also to his community.  Everyone in the community loved Kovu and he brought a smile to everyone's face.  The whole community misses him and cannot stop talking how loving he was. May your soul rest in eternal peace dear Kovu until we meet again and walk together to the gates of heaven and be with Jesus forever. In Loving Memory of KOVU In the quiet of my heart, your paw prints still remain,  A gentle soul who brought such joy,  now in sweet refrain. Kovu, you were more than just a pet, you...

Mother I didn't Thank You Enough

Image
The author reminds each one to thank their mother for the great sacrifices that she has made for her family, for the love she bestowed upon her family.  No one is going to live forever and to make the most of it while she is alive.  To be kind to her and to love her and respect her when she is alive so she can see her reflection in you, she can see her journey with you when you were a baby, she can see how well you have grown up to be her child.    *Mother I didn’t thank you enough* Mother I haven’t thanked you enough For all the things that you’ve done for me You helped me stand strong and forever be tough. Even thanking you everyday would be never enough I am who I am because of the foundation  You laid and it’s nothing but true I wish we had some more time together  To be friends more than just the mother and daughter crew If God gave me one more chance  To live my life anew, I would choose you as my mother all over again  And go rock and roll ...

Gethsemane He obeyed His Father And chose His destiny That He lay His life for me For my eternity   Gethsemane As he hung upon the cross He looked down upon me And He sacrificed His life My sins He took upon Thee   Gethsemane He came down to the Earth Even then He knew me before my birth Gods love to all He did reveal Even today He does great miracles And sicknesses He heals   Gethsemane Throughout our sinful lives He continues to love us still His arms He opens wide To love and follow Him is His will Gethsemane So today dear precious Lord I gi...

WOMAN

Image
Author: Joy D'Penha Title: WOMAN Year: 2021 The author dedicates this poem to all Women on "International Woman's Day" In this poem the author describes the attributes of a woman, her strength and power, her meekness and gentleness. When God created a Woman He had a perfect plan He downloaded all the qualities For the tough race she ran A Woman of Substance, A Woman of Pride With a heart that melted, and the eyes that cried A Woman Bodacious, with love divine You could tell, she is one of a kind Even though through ups and downs You will see her happy, like a clown No matter what, she will be your friend Loving and caring, till the end She is calm on the outside like a duck But if you get on her face, I wish you good luck She will fight the fight until the end And wear His armour, for her loved ones to defend By her very different looks You think you can read her like a book Sure, tough to understand her enough Like the sea waves she is gentle and rough She will stan...

TIME

Image
Author: Joy D'Penha Title: TIME Year: 2021 The author reminds everyone to dream big and strong and to pursue your dreams and not let time run out on you. If ever time would stop for me It would be such a miracle Years ago if I had realized what I wanted to be I would be soaring like an Eagle The years just passed by so quickly Where did all my time go I made good friends, raised a family The fruits I did bestow It's time to think wisely My dreams, did I accomplish? Loyal to my jobs and family My time, I could not store in a dish Life hits you hard from time to time With obstacles and breakdowns Don't put your dreams behind As your time is still ticking on But I believe it's not too late Since age is just a number I'll catch up to my dreams an aspirations And make sure I do not slumber So my friend, listen to me And let your dreams be strong Live your life and be happy about  Before your time runs out

Come One, Come All To light crackers big and small With friends and loved ones, its time to share And let them know how much you care A festive of joy, a festive of lights And yet one finds a drop of fright With crackers bursting high and low God knows when you'll lose your toe Rockets that will make you cry, Oh My In a second may leave you without an eye For Diwali visits just once a year Let not it bring your eyes a tear Cause this depth of great sorry May ruin your joyous tomorrow
