Mother I didn't Thank You Enough

The author reminds each one to thank their mother for the great sacrifices that she has made for her family, for the love she bestowed upon her family.  No one is going to live forever and to make the most of it while she is alive.  To be kind to her and to love her and respect her when she is alive so she can see her reflection in you, she can see her journey with you when you were a baby, she can see how well you have grown up to be her child.

*Mother I didn’t thank you enough*

Mother I haven’t thanked you enough
For all the things that you’ve done for me
You helped me stand strong and forever be tough.
Even thanking you everyday would be never enough

I am who I am because of the foundation
You laid and it’s nothing but true
I wish we had some more time together
To be friends more than just the mother and daughter crew

If God gave me one more chance
To live my life anew,
I would choose you as my mother all over again
And go rock and roll with you

I realized this late but soon enough
That I haven’t thanked you enough
For all the things that you have sacrificed, your time, your life throughout the years
That made me a woman so tough.

Your wish was to be an angel
For at least one of your children.
You were already my angel
While you were with us on earth living.

Your hands so frail told me,
That you toiled all day for me
You cooked great meals, you stitched my clothes
And kept tidy our home dust free

Your fragile feet still strong
Even at the age of Eighty.
Standing strong for your family.
You were still my angel so pretty

Holding the flag up high
And sweeping off all the evil
You made sure nothing would stop
The entrance of prosperity.

Mother I couldn’t thank you enough then
But I thank God everyday
For a wonderful mother He blessed me with,
Who led me to Him and taught me how to pray.
