Expressing what are the things to expect during motherhood. A beautiful poem for all new mothers. I have known you for over a year now, and it seems like ages to me Who is going to remind me to have my Garam Garam tea? Soon you are going to be a proud mummy Loves seeing Lila do roller coaster in your tummy Welcome to Motherhood, even though it is challenging as you think The minute you see Lila all pains will be forgotten in a blink Oops! did I tell you, there will be many sleepless nights While neighbors and friends will be sleeping tight You would be up when the tinker bell rings Enjoy every moment the joy that motherhood brings It's not just cleaning messy diapers and changing floral dresses Listening to her stories is worth over million-dollar prizes Oh, you will get through all of this, because you are o...

It Seems Like Ages Somehow

Image
Author: Joy D'Penha Title: It Seems Like Ages Somehow Year: 1995 The author writes this poem to give consolation to those relationships that have misunderstanding and break up for petite reasons before they patch up back again and realized they lost a lot of precious time. It seems like ages somehow Since we've drifted away What happened to our friendship  I thought it would last all the days We were more than friends  Who understood each other well Then why should our differences Be a barrier between us, please tell We move around like strangers But I guess strangers do give a smile What should I name this relationship Which is now, yours and mine I thought you understood me well But little did I know Your love for him meant more than ours And so I had to let go But this bond of friendship Never will I forget The love we shared, the tears we've shed In my heart will remain till death If it had to be this way, I promise I wished we'd never met The pain of separations, ...

HOME

Image
Author: Joy D'Penha Title: HOME Year: 2021 The author writes a poem on the differences between our Earthly Home and our Heavenly Home, and tells us that the Earthly Home is  temporary and our Heavenly Home is permanent and everlasting. Enjoy the beauty of this poem that make you experience the Heavenly Home well in advance. A place built with love and care Where siblings learn to live and share Mummy tirelessly cooks countless delicious meals And never once thought it's a big deal Daddy fixes stuff and makes things ready to use Works hard for his family he gives no excuse A home is where you go back to When the world throws stones and makes fun of you You find it safe and it brings solace to your hearts There's still someone who cares for you from the very start Home is where you can be yourself And need not put on a show to pretend You have fun and laugh together in unity And cry on each others shoulder in solidarity But this is just our earthly home And one day we have ...

A Tribute to Rajiv Gandhi

Image
Author: Joy D'Penha      Title: A Tribute to Rajiv Gandhi Year: 1991 When Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated the author was truly disturbed by the way he was killed because he was a young Prime Minister and had a great ambition to change India's future for the best.  This poem was also published in the daily Indian Newspaper - The Mid-Day, Bombay.  To be an Indian is now of  great shame Cause democracy has played a dirty game Killing innocent lives, that helped build a nation Among them was Rajiv Gandhi the light of the 21st creation With a charming young dynamic leadership in him Was foreseen the future of India within A smile on his face kept things cool He used it as his non-violent tool He risked his life for a new India And walked across to meet the media But some illiterate, cruel, cowardly minds of rust Had no respect for humanity and misused hsi trust Peace and harmony was his everlasting aim But nwo it seems to be of mere nam...
