The author writes this poem on a happy occasion of a young couple filled with dreams and aspirations, who got married during the Pandemic in 2020 and could not really celebrate with friends and family.  They had their reception in 2022 and welcomed all their family and friends to bless them.  The author was a part of their celebration in Canada. And so in this joyous occasion, the author writes them a poem to love and cherish.


It's been a year since you are married now

Between Covid, Work and Family, time flew by somehow

Happy to see you both still so much in love

Spend time to gaze the starts, moon and galaxy above


Together you will explore the big wide world

And learn lessons from each experience

Be thankful for all the lessons, good and hard

Cause that's what helps you build a strong foundation


There will be ups and downs, that's where the roller coaster begins

Trust one another and be patient, it's pointless biting each other to pins

For remember, Men are from Mars and Women from Venus

To understand each other perfectly, its tough even for a genius


Life is a book and marriage a Chapter

You both can work wonders and make it happier

Celebrate together every bit of life's wonderful journey

All through the bright sunny days and weather stormy


Decades will pass by, and your kids will grow older

No matter what, always lean on each other's shoulders

Love and Respect is all that matters

Every other aspect will beautifully fall in place ever after


You have a long way to go until you get to see your great grand children

A priceless gift that very few are blessed in a million

Don't overlook the teeny-weeny bits, for that does matter

For every big and small good gesture be sure to thank each other
