Safe Diwali Happy Diwali

Title: Safe Diwali Happy Diwali

Year: 1991

The author is asking everyone to be mindful when they light crackers during the Indian festival of Diwali and wishes everyone a Safe and Happy Diwali.  This poem was also published in the Daily Newspaper called MIDDAY, in Bombay during November 1991.

Come One, Come All

To light crackers big and small

With friends and loved ones, its time to share

And let them know how much you care

A festive of joy, a festive of lights

And yet one finds a drop of fright

With crackers bursting high and low

God knows when you'll lose your toe

Rockets that will make you cry, Oh My

In a second may leave you without an eye

For Diwali visits just once a year

Let not it bring your eyes a tear

Cause this depth of great sorry

May ruin your joyous tomorrow
