Morning Walk

One of the things the author does is takes her puppy out for a walk everyday.  Time does not matter, just spending time with her puppy makes her day bright and sunny. She gets to experience nature and the fresh air and talks with her puppy while they walk together. Her puppy is her best friend forever.


Walking my puppy on a sunny morn

The Robin was singing all along

Blue birds found a nesting place

The sun flowers looked and smiled with grace


I walked and talked with God alone

And felt safe to be protected from the unknown

He whispered to me and said, "Don't fear my child"

I will protect you all the while


We walked along that narrow path

That divided both the fields apart

The grass was tall and shinning green

The sun looked down with a gleam


Butterflies passing by said "Hello"

With beauty spots and wings yellow

The bumble bee flew happily

With his entire family


The squirrels hopped under the tree

And some others ran absolutely free

All creatures had a perfect relationship I see

I thanked God for His wonderful gifts of creation to me


The winds blew soft at a gentle pace

And blew my hair across my face

My puppy wagged his fluffy tail

Happy to meet his friend at the end of the trail


That was the end of our morning walk

My best friend and I enjoyed and talked

All energized, happy, fresh and bright

Me and my puppy were filled with delight

If ever time would stop for me It would be such a miracle Years ago if I had realized what I wanted to be I would be soaring like an Eagle The years just passed by so quickly Where did all my time go I made good friends, raised a family The fruits I did bestow It's time to think wisely My dreams, did I accomplish?
