This is a memorable, sad tribute to the author's ever loving pet and family member, KOVU.

Kovu was the very heart beat of the author, that kept the author on her feet, active and happy until the last day of Kovu's earthly life. Kovu was not just a pet, he was the closest family member of the D'Penha family.  He not only brought happiness to his family but also to his community.  Everyone in the community loved Kovu and he brought a smile to everyone's face.  The whole community misses him and cannot stop talking how loving he was. May your soul rest in eternal peace dear Kovu until we meet again and walk together to the gates of heaven and be with Jesus forever.

In the quiet of my heart, your paw prints still remain, 

A gentle soul who brought such joy, now in sweet refrain.

Kovu, you were more than just a pet, you were family and my very best friend,

With you, each day brightened up, until the very end.

Your presence filled our home with love, a love warmth that never fades. 

You greeted us with wagging tails, through all life's serenades. 

Together we roamed paths of joy, beneath the sunlit skies, 

In every moment shared with you, I saw love in your big brown eyes.

Together we walked the streets of Brampton, different trails we explored every week. 

You chased away my worries, with each playful bound and leap. 

A furry beacon of pure love, in dreams I often keep. 

Memories of you, will last forever long after at end I sleep

Though now you've crossed the rainbow bridge, and left this earthly shore,

Your spirit dances in my heart, forever and evermore.

I hold our story close dear Kovu, each and every day,

In cherished thoughts and whispered prayers, I find solace throughout the day. 

Until we meet again, beyond where stars forever gleam, 

You'll walk beside me in my dreams, in love's eternal stream.
